Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. is seeking an equity research associate to support the Industrial Innovation team focused on Power Technology, Advanced Materials, & Physical AI, to develop and market equity research products, and to provide analysis and insights on innovative power generation and management technologies, advanced batteries, robotics, and AI.
Requirements
- Strong financial modeling, accounting, valuation, and quantitative skills
- Strong Excel skills and a command of Word, PowerPoint, Bloomberg and FactSet
- PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial databases
- Experience with financial modeling and data analysis
- Strong writing and analytical skills
- Ability to build and maintain integrated financial models
- Experience with equity research and financial markets
Responsibilities
- Developing and marketing equity research products, including research reports, models, and macro and industry analysis
- Building and updating financial models
- Writing and producing company initiations, equity research reports, and marketing presentations
- Organizing and maintaining industry data
- Building and maintaining integrated I/S, B/S, and C/F models
- Analyzing and managing financial statements
- Maintaining and updating research reports and models
Other
- Demonstrated interest in sustainability and broader societal impact from emerging and disruptive technologies
- Ability to work independently and initiate and accomplish projects with minimal supervision
- Strong sales and communication skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- MBA and/or CFA or comparable graduate degree preferred, but not required
