Revance is seeking to support research and development activities focused on microbial analysis, culture techniques, and experimental design
Requirements
- Bioreactors & fermenters: controlled growth of microbes for research or industrial use
- Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and microbial handling
- Familiarity with molecular biology tools (PCR, RT-PCR, SDS-PAGE, etc.)
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
- Advanced HPLC, FPLC, etc. skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in microbiology, molecular biology, biology or related field
- 2-3 years’ laboratory experience in microbiology, molecular biology, or related discipline (academic or industry)
Responsibilities
- Perform microbiological assays, including microbial culture, isolation, and identification
- Conduct sterility testing, environmental monitoring, and microbial enumeration
- Prepare media and reagents, and maintain laboratory equipment in compliance with safety standards
- Assist in experimental design, data collection, and statistical analysis
- Document all procedures and results accurately in laboratory notebooks and electronic systems
- Support quality control and regulatory compliance for microbiological testing
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment following GLP/GMP guidelines
Other
- Bachelor’s degree & 2+ years’ directly related experience; OR Master’s degree
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong presentation skills; ability to present scientific data to a broad audience, including both scientific and non-scientific audiences
- Able to manage time well and complete assigned tasks on time
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
