The Chan Zuckerberg Biohub San Francisco is looking to study cell-cell communication leading to organ formation in a self-organizing process using zebrafish as a model system.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in molecular biology
- Prior work with zebrafish (especially with the generation of transgenic lines and microinjections)
- Prior experience with confocal microscopy
- Gene editing techniques
- Deep-learning-based data analysis
- Mathematical modeling
Responsibilities
- Maintain zebrafish colony
- Create and maintain a library of cell lines as needed for various studies
- Generate transgenic lines using state-of-the-art techniques
- Conduct live imaging experiments while contributing ideas to research projects
Other
- BS/BA (or equivalent) with prior laboratory experience
- Attention to detail and very strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work both independently and collaboratively across platforms
- Dedicated team player who can also work independently
- Travel not mentioned, but relocation to San Francisco, CA may be required
