Altos Labs is looking to restore cell health and resilience through cell rejuvenation to reverse disease, injury, and the disabilities that can occur throughout life. This role will assist in rodent mouse models research related to skeletal muscle.
Requirements
- Mouse in vivo handling and experimentation.
- Mammalian cell culture experience is required.
- Basic molecular biology techniques are required.
- Experience with genomics assays and NGS library preparation is required.
- Experience with tissue processing is required.

Responsibilities
- Proficient in basic in vivomethodology techniques (e.g., dosing, sample collection, physiological monitoring, necropsy)
- Perform muscle/nerve injury experiments in mice
- Conduct muscle functional assays (muscle force) and other in vivo phenotypic assays
- Maintain cell culture models and generate stable cell lines.
- Conduct phenotypic in vitro assays, including ELISA, qPCR, immunofluorescence imaging and FACS, across different cell types.
- Process tissue through standard genomics pipelines (e.g. generation of bulk and single cell RNA sequencing libraries)
- Thoroughly document processes and results.
Other
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree plus at least four years of wet lab experience in a molecular and cell biology lab (industry or academia).
- Excellent record keeping skills in a lab setting (familiarity with ELNs preferred).
- Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with a broad range of people.
- Demonstrated high productivity and ability to complete work in a timely manner.
- Experience with stable cell line generation
