The Institute for Population and Precision Health (IPPH) at the University of Chicago is seeking to solve problems related to the treatment and prevention of disease, and the maintenance of wellness by integrating a wide spectrum of factors into studies. The job aims to provide technical support for clinical research, compile, document, analyze, and report on clinical research data to support strategic, administrative, operational, and financial decisions impacting clinical research across the University.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Coordination and quality control for observational and interventional, including both clinic and community-based studies, within the Institute for Population and Precision Health.
  • This may include oversight of the collection of clinical data, survey data, environmental data, and associated samples and biospecimens.
  • Assist with subject engagement, screening, recruitment, consent, data and specimen collection, and subject follow-up and retention activities.
  • Maintains detailed records of results which may include collecting, extracting & entering data; &/or preparing basic charts & graphs.
  • Monitor study participants, schedule, and conduct study-related procedures (eg. interviews, phlebotomies, and follow-ups) and establish data quality control checks).
  • Coordination of data acquisition, entry, QC, and query response.
  • Uses knowledge of clinical studies to coordinate the collection of analyzable clinical research data and/or samples.

  • Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.
  • Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through < 2 years of work experience in a related job discipline.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
