The University of Southern California (USC) Institute for Addiction Science is seeking an experienced clinical research coordinator to manage single-site and multi-site clinical trials to evaluate new treatments for addiction, with a primary focus on GLP-1 receptor agonist medications.
Requirements
- demonstrated experience with data collection and clinical trial management software
- strong computer skills
- knowledge of medical environments and medical terminology
- experience with Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems and Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS)
- certified research coordinator training
- project management experience and training/certification in project management
- phlebotomy certification and CA State Phlebotomy License
Responsibilities
- coordinating participant recruitment
- supervising study research staff, interviewers and consenters
- assisting with consenting and interviewing as needed
- overseeing compliance with protocols and standard operating procedures
- assisting with Institutional Review Board and regulatory compliance
- collecting ongoing data on the success of engaging participants
- coordinating research activities and project meetings
Other
- graduate degree (Master’s degree or higher)
- 5 years of relevant experience in a clinical research coordinator or research manager role involving recruitment of human participants
- ability to work in a fast-paced clinic/hospital environment while interacting with participants/patients and multidisciplinary team members
- strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills
- ability to ensure timely progress toward recruitment milestones and project objectives
