The Brain Dynamics Lab (BDL) at Stanford University is seeking a Research Data Analyst 1 to manage and analyze large, complex neuroimaging datasets, and to contribute to the development and maintenance of data processing pipelines. The goal is to develop computational methods for understanding brain function and anchoring psychiatric diagnosis using spatiotemporal brain features.

Requirements

  • Substantial experience with programming languages such as Matlab and python.
  • Understanding of statistical components underlying neuroimaging processing pipelines.
  • Understanding of digital signal processing.
  • Experience with MRI imaging analysis
  • Experience with ML/DL

Responsibilities

  • Collect, manage and clean neuroimaging datasets.
  • Employ new and existing neuroimaging data analysis tools (e.g., fMRIprep and XCPengine) to interpret, analyze, and visualize multivariate relationships in data.
  • Create databases and reports, develop algorithms and statistical models, and perform statistical analyses appropriate to data and reporting requirements.
  • Use system reports and analyses to identify potentially problematic data, make corrections, and determine root cause for data problems from input errors or inadequate field edits, and suggest possible solutions.
  • Develop reports, charts, graphs and tables for use by investigators and for publication and presentation.
  • Analyze data processes in documentation.
  • Collaborate with faculty and research staff on data collection and analysis methods.

Other

  • Independently with minimal supervision.
  • Interface with neuroimaging researchers, clinicians, and computational researchers.
  • Participate in state-of-the-art data processing pipeline development within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload.
