The Bodansky and DeRisi laboratories at the University of California at San Francisco are seeking a Research Data Analyst to lead the analytic support for numerous projects of broad scope and complexity in order to support the combined research enterprises of the Bodansky and DeRisi Laboratories, specifically to understand the role of autoantibodies in health and disease.
Requirements
- Advanced skills associated with statistical analysis, database management, and programming
- At least 2 years prior experience in the analysis of single cell transcriptomic datasets and immune receptor repertoire analysis
- Thorough, in-depth knowledge of research function

- Research skills at a level to evaluate alternate solutions and develop recommendations

Responsibilities
- process high dimensional data, ensure the data meets high standards of quality and reproducibility, and use both existing computational platforms, and create new analytic platforms to both compile and interpret the data
- quickly learn, apply, and analyze large scale PhIP-Seq data (next generation sequencing readouts of antibodies targeting proteins expressed by a phage library; for example all human proteins or all viral proteins)
- develop systems to design new bespoke PhIP-Seq libraries
- prepare data for scientific publications, and present data at meetings and national scientific conferences
- serve as an analytical hub for the lab, integrating with the existing laboratory members and computational biologists, serving to train students and postdoctoral fellows in basic computational analysis
- analyze single cell and bulk transcriptomic data
- analyze immune receptor repertoire sequencing (BCR/TCR) data
Other
- Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
