The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) needs to apply technical knowledge to inform critical policies for providing essential Internet service to unserved and disadvantaged populations. This involves developing and utilizing research and techniques, including spatial and statistical analysis, to inform policy on broadband needs of the state.

  • effectively communicating technical information in written and oral formats

Responsibilities

  • independently develop and utilize research and techniques, including spatial and statistical analysis, to inform policy on broadband needs of the estate.
  • responsible for a wide range of research and analytical duties regarding complex statistical data, gathering, developing, implementing, and monitoring systems to assemble necessary data.
  • responsible for validating the accuracy of structured and unstructured data being reported.
  • Describe your experience collecting, validating, integrating, analyzing, and maintaining data to conduct spatial analysis to inform policy and programs.
  • Describe your experience developing, investigating, and analyzing other thematic and/or demographic information from multiple data sources using GIS, Access, R, Excel ,Tableau, and other available software.
  • Describe your experience in effectively communicating technical information in written and oral formats.

  • This position requires travel.
  • This is a hybrid position that will require the selected candidate to report to their assigned headquarter office a minimum of two (2) days a week.
