The Department of Child Support Services (DCSS) is looking to solve the problem of analyzing program statistics related to general county-reported data, preparing complex performance trends analysis, and determining data reliability, consistency, and accuracy of data submitted by the counties.
Requirements
- Experience with data analysis and statistical software
- Knowledge of database management systems
- Experience with data visualization tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R
- Knowledge of data quality control and assurance methods
- Experience with data mining and machine learning techniques
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze all program statistics related to general county-reported data
- Prepare complex performance trends analysis
- Prepare ad hoc statistical reports
- Determine data reliability, consistency and accuracy of data submitted by the counties
- Develop statewide and county data collection methodology in the Data Validation & Application Management (DVAM) Unit, Data Reporting and Analysis Section (DRAS), Data Performance Analysis Branch, with Child Support Services Division (CSSD)
- Analyze data to identify trends and patterns
- Develop and maintain databases and data systems to support data analysis

- Background Investigation clearance prior to being hired
- New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable
- Must meet the Minimum Qualifications stated in the Classification Specification(s)
- Must submit a completed Application Package (including Examination/Employment Application (STD 678) and applicable or required documents)
- Must be willing to work in a hybrid telework environment
