The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) is looking to fill a Research Data Analyst position to assist in making a meaningful impact on the lives of low-income families and individuals across California by providing robust fiscal estimates and analysis.
Requirements
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong foundation and background in mathematics and statistics
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong math, research and analytical skills
- Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing
- Ability to establish workload priorities, organize materials and work well under pressure
Responsibilities
- Develop fiscal estimates for programs or policies with limited data available
- Solicit advice and information from other program partners within CDSS
- Make oral and written presentations to inform important decision making
- Work independently with minimal direction
- Develop strong working relationships with multiple branches across the department
- Mentor junior staff members and take a lead role in complex assignments
- Work as an acting manager when required
