Applied Intuition is looking for a Research Engineer to conduct world-class research for autonomous systems, aiming to accelerate the adoption of safe, AI-driven machines in the automotive and robotics industries.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience for hardware and software for various robots, data collection equipment and teleoperation
- Hands-on experience in at least one of the following fields: reinforcement learning, multi-modal foundation models, human and object motion capture, motion retargeting
Responsibilities
- Conduct research on topics including: robotic foundation model and vision-language-action model, reinforcement learning and real-to-sim-to-real, with applications to dexterous manipulation and grasping, and whole-body control
- Work closely with Research Scientists and interns on high-quality research publications to submit to top-tier conferences
- Set up the hardware and software of various robots (including hands, arms and humanoids) and data collection equipment, in collaboration with Research Scientists and interns
Other
- Passion for robotic generalist and humanoid with next-generation, scalable technology in the real world
- Strong research skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively on projects
- MSc or PhD in machine learning, computer vision, or electrical/mechanical engineering with robotics and autonomy applications or closely-related fields
- Strong research record in the fields of AI and robotics with publications in top-tier conferences or journals in the fields of computer vision, machine learning, and robotics
- We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week.
