The position will support biological research on the antibacterial microcin of action against bacteria and administrative responsibilities supporting general lab functions.
Requirements
- Experience working with bacteria through genetic and biochemical means.
- Previous small animal experience.
- Computational skills in R or python.
Responsibilities
- Research: Projects will focus on microcin discovery and action.
- This will include working with a large range of bacteria using genetics, biochemistry and synthetic biology approaches.
- Animal studies will be conducted as part of this work.
- Administration: Responsibilities will include overseeing order delivers, work study management, lab safety compliance, general lab maintenance.
Other
- A BS degree in microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology or a related field.
- Capable of working with small animals.
- Excellent organizational skills and self-motivation.
