The university is seeking to understand the pathogenesis of retroviruses and their antagonism of the immune response, and to develop more specific and targeted treatments for human breast cancers.
Requirements
- Experience in molecular biology experiments, particularly molecular cloning and mammalian cell culture
- Prior experience with mice, molecular cloning, Western blotting, retroviruses, microscopy, fluorescence-activated cell sorting, nucleic acid extractions, PCR, transfections, protein expression, and bioinformatics
Responsibilities
- Perform molecular biology and virology experiments
- Assist with mouse husbandry and inoculations
- Do experimental planning, data analyses, and oral/written presentations
- Perform laboratory support functions, such as supply ordering

- BS degree with experience in molecular biology experiments, particularly molecular cloning and mammalian cell culture
