The Ohio State University is seeking a Research Faculty member in the Division of Medical Oncology to conduct research, provide service, and engage in teaching or clinical practice, with the goal of advancing the field of immuno-oncology and improving cancer treatment.
Requirements
- Advanced degree such as MD, DVM, PharmD, PhD, or MD/PhD
- Postdoctoral fellowship in immunology, immuno-oncology, hematology, cancer genomics and/or pathobiology
- Experience leading or working with shared resource laboratories
- Proven ability to write scientific reports and publish in scientific, peer-reviewed journals
- Understanding of key components of grant writing and obtaining funding in support of research
- Experience with administration of funded research
- Knowledge of flow and mass cytometry, bulk and single-cell RNA-Seq, spatial transcriptomics and imaging, neoantigen discovery
Responsibilities
- Conduct research in the area of immuno-oncology, including systems IO and translational IO
- Lead or work with shared resource laboratories, including the Immune Monitoring and Discovery Platform (IMDP) and the Immuno-Oncology Informatics Group (IOIG)
- Write scientific reports and publish in scientific, peer-reviewed journals
- Obtain funding in support of research through grant writing and administration
- Collaborate with other researchers and clinicians to advance the field of immuno-oncology
- Develop and implement new cancer treatments and broaden the indications and patient populations that can be treated with cellular therapy
- Provide service to the university and the community, including teaching and mentoring students and junior faculty

- Earned doctorate or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study or possession of equivalent experience
