Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Research Fellow to conduct advanced independent and/or directed research programs, focusing on translational research projects. The role involves developing, implementing, and executing research plans, analyzing data, and documenting findings to advance the organization's research objectives.
Requirements
- Conduct advanced independent and/or directed research programs.
- Conduct translational research projects at the direction of the principal investigator or program director.
- Requires detailed knowledge of a technical field, process, or discipline.
- Developing, implementing, and executing research plans.
- Data collection and analysis.
- Documenting research findings in concise yet complete technical reports.
- Rapidly identify trends in data or shortcomings in experimental design, so that random adjustments may be made without the direct daily supervision of a principal investigator.
Responsibilities
- Conduct high fidelity experimentation in line with the objectives of the research program.
- Collect and analyze data from the literature and from ongoing experimentation to support hypotheses.
- Participate in writing research publications, presentations, and grant proposals.
- Aid the investigator in managing research staff and maintaining research facilities on an as-needed basis.
- Representing the lead investigator at scientific conferences and meetings.

- Full-time temporary advanced scholarly appointment (not to exceed five years)
- BA/BS Degree
- Adheres to the ethical and legal standards and behavioral expectations as set forth in the code of business conduct and company policies.
