BD is looking to drive sales of their flow cytometry instrument portfolio within a specific territory, focusing on enabling drug development and translational research, particularly within the Pharma/Biotech market and key academic sites.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint , as well as CRM tools (Salesforce.com) and data analytics platforms (Power BI).
- Strong understanding of flow cytometry and research workflows.
- Demonstrated successful sales track record
- Solid negotiation skills
- Exhibit effective selling, listening, and verbal/presentation skills
- Ability to pre-call plan to assess and respond to customer needs.
- Preferred – Experience working with customers in drug development or translational research (e.g. contract research organizations, pharma/biotech, government research, immunology/cancer research centers, etc)
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a Territory Business Plan to achieve sales goals.
- Utilize Power BI and Salesforce.com to manage pipeline, forecast, and territory analytics.
- Own and manage the sales funnel from lead generation through closing.
- Conduct regular customer meetings, focusing on key accounts and high-value opportunities.
- Deliver impactful product presentations, demos, and solution-based selling.
- Partner with Reagent Sales Specialists, Applications Specialists, Field Service Engineers, High Parameter Team, and Global Key Accounts to deliver unified solutions.
- Solve customer problems and create value through tailored solutions.
Other
- Ideally three or more years of capital equipment sales experience in life sciences or healthcare and experience in working with large accounts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate with peers in reagent sales, technical applications, science force, and global key accounts to promote system selling of BD products.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory, up to 50% travel.
- Expected field presence 3–4 days per week.
