Exact Sciences is looking to change how the world prevents, detects, and guides treatment for cancer by providing patients and clinicians with clarity for confident decision-making. The company is seeking an intern to assist in the development of nucleic acid detection methodologies, biomarker discovery and validation, and the evaluation of new technologies within the Advanced Research and Technology Development group.
Requirements
- Wet lab workflows for next-generation sequencing (NGS) and PCR
- Basic computer skills to include Internet navigation, Email usage, and word processing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Excel macros and pivot tables and Word mail merge.
- Prior research and lab work
- Exposure or hands-on experience with DNA/RNA library prep and NGS
- Beginner-level use of R or Python
- Molecular Biology/Biochemistry/Genomics major
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of nucleic acid detection methodologies
- Assist in biomarker discovery and validation
- Assist in the evaluation of new technologies
- Focus on wet lab workflows for next-generation sequencing (NGS) and PCR
- Projects will focus on biomarker discovery and evaluation
- Execute bench experiments and analysis of data

- Enrollment towards Bachelor’s degree in field of Life Sciences
