Georgia Tech Research Institute's Research IT Department (RITD) is seeking an IT Operations Intern to assist with research project work throughout the Electronic Systems Laboratory (ELSYS), providing IT support to employees and assisting researchers and engineers with various projects.
Requirements
- Basic familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Basic familiarity with various types of computer hardware
- Basic familiarity with networking
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems is considered a plus

- managing the helpdesk ticket systems

Other
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Security Assurance, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Computer Science or a similar field of study.
- 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA
- Must be registered for Full-time Internship Credit
- Be interested in learning IT operations (including but not limited to system administration/deployment, networking, software troubleshooting, and security)
- A passion for technology, and a desire to grow as an IT professional
- U.S. Citizenship Requirements: Due to our research contracts with the US federal government, candidates for this position are required to be US Citizens.
- Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance.
