The company is looking to solve fundamental challenges in AI and Robotics by developing next-generation intelligent robotic systems. This role specifically aims to bring novel hardware products and processes to life through expert CNC machining.
Requirements
- Proven experience setting up, operating, and/or programming CNC machines (vertical, 5-axis, and mill/turn) to machine low quantity prototype parts
- Strong understanding of G-code programming
- Familiarity with SolidWorks and SolidCAM (or prior experience with comparable software and a willingness to learn through company-sponsored training).
- Solid skills in using precision measurement and inspection equipment
- Working knowledge of GD&T standards
- Mastery of 3D CAD systems (OnShape, Solidworks, or similar)
- Skilled with metal fabrication tools and processes (MIG, TIG, plasma, etc).
Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate 5-axis vertical mills and mill/turn CNC machines
- Design and develop fixtures and workholding systems to manufacture complex 3D parts
- Create part programs using G-code, conversational, and CAM software
- Perform quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM, and other precision tools
- Perform preventative maintenance and repair of institute prototyping equipment and materials inventory management
- Part fabrication and post-processing
- Daily hands-on prototyping, testing and debugging

- BS in Mechanical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience solving complex hardware challenges
- Experience with robots or similar complex electro-mechanical systems
