The Ohio State University is looking to solve the problem of non-viral gene delivery through research and development initiatives in the Gene Therapy Institute and across the university.
Requirements
- Ph.D. Biomedical Engineering, or a related area of study
- Extensive experience in non-viral gene delivery
- Demonstrated ability as a competent and productive researcher
- Extensive experience in non-viral gene and cell therapies
- Experience as PI or co-PI on research programs
Responsibilities
- Initiates and leads research and development in the areas of non-viral gene delivery
- Collaborates with faculty, research staff, graduate and undergraduate students, and/or technical support staff at the Gene Therapy Institute and across the university to expand engagement in non-viral gene delivery initiatives
- Serves as Principal Investigator (PI) or co-Principal Investigator (co-PI) on research grants and contracts
- Initiates, sustains, and concludes sponsored research projects
- Serves as liaison with sponsoring agencies and organizations as well as other research and educational institutions
- Prepares research proposals for development and continuation of various research areas
- Develops new systems, topics for future investigations, and enhanced capability
