Long Island University is seeking to advance the digital transformation of life science, education, and clinical practice by leveraging advanced computational methods, AI, and in-silico modeling to understand drug-induced liver injury and contribute to the development of safer and more effective medications.
Requirements
- Proficiency with one or more programming language such as Python, Matlab or C++
- Proficiency in systems biology/computational biology/computational chemistry/bioinformatics a plus (BIOVIA, Discovery Studio, CompuCell3D or equivalent)
Responsibilities
- leveraging advanced computational methods, AI and in-silico modeling
- collaborating with experts from various fields to advance our understanding of drug-induced liver injury
- contribute to the development of safer and more effective medications
- development of "Virtual Twins," digital models of human anatomy, to advance precision medicine
- experiential research, education, and training in various fields, including AI, robotics, cybersecurity, data analytics, and drug discovery
Other
- Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Systems Biology, Applied Mathematics, Biophysics, Computational Chemistry, Bioinformatics or similar.
- Proven track records (publication in top-tier journals, awards, patents, white papers)
- Ability to present analytical results on behalf of the project team to senior leadership.
- Ability to influence or persuade others to accept new ideas, approaches, or concepts and on the direction of projects and manage stakeholders through project execution.
