Pindrop is redefining trust in the digital age by protecting against AI-driven threats like synthetic voices and deepfakes, and this role will contribute to improving Pindrop products through new ML models.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience as a researcher in natural language processing, authorship verification, language models, intent recognition, emotion detection, and/or generative AI.
- Experience with natural language processing required
- Experience using AI-driven code research and development using AI assistants (eg, Anthropic or Copilot)
- Strong Python skills
- Experience with ML frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras
- Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications at prestigious conferences and journals.
- Preferably, you have experience with NLP competitions and challenges (PAN, Kaggle, NIST SRE, Chime, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Conduct experimental studies on various natural language processing and machine learning tasks to assess the accuracy and quality of pre-existing models
- Help the transition of research models into production on different platforms
- Conduct proof-of-concept experiments on lab and customer data
- Publish patents and peer-reviewed papers in top machine learning conferences
- Propose new ML models that improve Pindrop products
- Leverage cloud AI platforms, including: AWS Bedrock (Converse API, Agents, Knowledge Bases, Guardrails), Google Cloud Vertex AI (Gemini API, Agent Builder, Vector Search, Search & Grounding, Model Garden)
- Champion Responsible AI, including safety guardrails, red-teaming, fairness/bias testing, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
Other
- Master's and/or PhDs in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, etc.) required
