Requirements
- Experience with geometric optics, physical optics, and diffractive optics, including modeling and simulation
- Experience with optimization or machine learning algorithms
- Experience with scientific programming languages such as MATLAB or Python and experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Deep learning experience in computational photography, neural rendering, 3D reconstruction, computational imaging, or related topics
- Experimental hardware experience in computational photography, computational imaging, or related topics
Responsibilities
- Investigate novel computational imaging systems that achieve high performance through a combination of algorithms and optics.
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers from a variety of technical backgrounds through all stages of project development.
- Publish research results in top-tier journals and at leading international conferences.
Other
- Currently has or is in the process of obtaining a PhD in the field of Computer Science, Optics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field
- Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
- Past experience with cross-group and cross-culture collaboration
- Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by first-authored publications in journals or at conferences, etc
- Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship
