Meta Reality Labs is looking for interns to help create the next generation of eye tracking for virtual and augmented reality. Our research focuses on true solutions to complex tracking problems, delivering novel technologies and algorithms fundamental to future VR and AR systems.
Requirements
- Knowledge in CV/ML, in one or more of the following domains: 3D computer vision, object detection and tracking, image/volume processing, optimization, calibration, 3D tracking, 3D pose estimation
- 2+ years of experience with Machine Learning for solving computer vision and/or computer graphics problems
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as Pytorch and TensorBoard
- Experience with scientific programming languages such as Python
- Experiences working on high volume image data processing or synthesis
- Hands-on experience working with head mounted devices (such as Aria or Quest Pro) to collect, and analyze data to validate hypotheses
- Experience of working with multimodal biosensor data
Responsibilities
- Participate in cutting-edge Computer Vision & Machine Learning research and development for VR/AR/MR related topics.
- Design and implement robust algorithms for multimodal eye-tracking systems.
- Communicate research agenda, progress and results.
- Publish research results in top-tier journals and at leading international conferences.
- Document and present research progress and aim to publish findings at high-impact CV/ML conferences.
Other
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or related field
- Excellent interpersonal skills, cross-group and cross-culture collaboration
- Ability to communicate complex research in a clear, precise, and actionable manner
- Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
- Intent to return to a degree-program after the completion of the internship
