ByteDance is looking to build a technology center to provide technical support for all products from the perspective of making AI models responsible, trustworthy, and aligned with human values
Requirements
- In-depth understanding of machine learning with rich experiences in relevant fields
- Background in large language models, especially post-training or alignment, is preferable
- Familiar with at least one popular machine learning framework (e.g., Pytorch, TensorFlow, JAX etc)
- Solid mathematical background and coding ability
- Publication at the top conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, FAccT, AAAI, CVPR, ICCV, ACL, WWW etc) is a big plus
Responsibilities
- Research and development of technologies on responsible AI, particularly with a focus on large language models, including but not limited to safety, reasoning, alignment, privacy, robustness
- Perform research on responsible AI and collaborate with experts from both academia and industry
- Design and perform theoretical analysis of AI algorithms
Other
- Good at communications and prioritizing teamwork
- Researchers or PhD students in Machine Learning and other related fields
