Google is looking to solve real-world problems that span the breadth of computer science, such as machine (and deep) learning, data mining, natural language processing, hardware and software performance analysis, improving compilers for mobile platforms, as well as core search and much more, by developing fundamental, state of the art, imaging, and Machine Learning (ML) research and technology, widely applicable to Google products, and helpful to users.
Requirements
- PhD degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in computer vision, Machine Learning (ML), image processing, or computer graphics.
- Experience in Python programming.
- One or more scientific publication submission(s) for conferences, journals, or public repositories.
- Experience in state of the art ML and deep learning using modern ML packages e.g. JAX, and TensorFlow.
- Ability to design and execute on research agendas.
- Knowledge of ML platforms such as Jax, TensorFlow, and Pytorch.
Responsibilities
- Research and develop ML for computer vision, computational photography, graphics, image or video processing, and generative AI.
- Demonstrate strong programming application skills in Python, and knowledge of ML platforms such as Jax, TensorFlow, and Pytorch.
- Setup large-scale tests and deploy promising ideas quickly and broadly, managing deadlines and deliverables while applying the latest theories to develop new and improved products, processes, or technologies.
- Create experiments and prototyping implementations to designing new architectures.
- Work on real-world problems that span the breadth of computer science.
- Develop fundamental, state of the art, imaging, and Machine Learning (ML) research and technology.
- Contribute to the wider research community by sharing and publishing findings.
