Colgate-Palmolive is seeking a Research Scientist to drive discovery in skin health and aging research by designing and implementing computational methods and AI-based tools.
Requirements
Experience with bioinformatics, cheminformatics, or computational modeling projects.
Proficiency in programming languages and database tools such as Python, R, C++, and SQL.
Knowledge of computational models and machine learning.
A strong understanding of biology, especially as it relates to skin.
Hands-on experience with human skin cell and tissue cultures, such as keratinocytes, fibroblasts, skin equivalents, or skin explants.
Experience with advanced computational modeling techniques such as QSAR or molecular docking.
Responsibilities
Designing and Implementing Informatics: Design and implement chemical and biological informatics for molecular modeling and screening, and use these tools to predict outcomes that support our research objectives.
Developing AI-Based Tools: Develop and evaluate AI-based molecular biology and modeling to support skin health business and research goals.
Collaborating on New Technologies: Work with internal and external teams to develop and implement new AI-based tools and services.
Conducting Hands-On Evaluation: Perform hands-on (wet bench) evaluation and assessment of technologies and compounds identified through computational methods.
Analyzing and Interpreting Data: Extract meaningful biological insights from various tools and methods, and collaborate on validating the results.
Communicating Findings: Interpret your findings through clear presentations and data visualizations to internal partners and contribute to scientific publications.

A Master's degree with at least 2 years of experience in Biology, Chemistry, Computational Biology, Cell/Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
A Ph.D. in a related field with at least two years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage and execute projects effectively.
