The USC Department of Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine is seeking a Research Scientist to contribute to the heart regeneration program led by Dr. Charles Murry, involving stem-cell based technologies and cardiac cell therapy research
Requirements
- Experience with cardiac differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells
- Experience with bioreactor-based differentiation
- Experience with gene-editing
- Well versed with Electronic Laboratory Notebooking
- Experience with immunocytochemistry
- Experience with stem cell based translational research
- Extensive experience with human pluripotent stem cells
Responsibilities
- designing and conducting complex research projects
- developing solutions to a wide-range of research challenges to ensure the achievement of program objectives
- contributing to grant writing
- training of lab personnel
Other
- Minimum Education: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
- Minimum Experience: 5 years
- Demonstrated leadership in developing new ideas and ability to publish in appropriate academic and practitioner outlets
- Demonstrated independent thinking and leadership in scholarly writing
- Ability to work in a team environment
