The Ohio State University's College of Medicine, Pathology Department is looking to solve complex scientific investigations in a foundational (basic) research laboratory, specifically in infectious diseases, Breast cancer, Leishmaniasis, and Chagas disease
Requirements
- Master's Degree or equivalent experience required
- PhD preferred
- 4-5 years of relevant experience required
- specializing & providing technical expertise in infectious diseases, Breast cancer, leishmaniasis and Chagas disease
- experience with molecular biological and biochemical procedures
- experience with research grant proposals
- experience with laboratory equipment maintenance
Responsibilities
- conduct complex scientific investigations
- collaborates with Principal Investigator (PI) to develop, manage and implement research projects
- plans, designs, and conducts complex & advanced research
- plans and executes advanced molecular biological and biochemical procedures
- extracts, analyzes & evaluates experimental data
- develops and implements new or revised research methods
- assists PI in research & development efforts of new research projects
Other
- Master's Degree or equivalent experience required

- 4-5 years of relevant experience required
- ability to work closely with PI to determine and develop goals of projects
- ability to provide training of research staff in executing new research methods
