Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
- 4 years of relevant experience required with High School diploma or GED
- 2 years of relevant experience required with Associate's Degree
- 0 years of relevant experience required with Bachelor's Degree
- Ability to translate, adapt and apply academic or practical knowledge in the conduct of biological/health science research is required
- Experience with molecular, cellular, and biological research techniques and procedures
- Experience with lab equipment and software
Responsibilities
- independently conducts assigned experiments
- performs a variety of molecular, cellular, and biological research techniques and procedures including PCR reactions, gel electrophoresis, assays, cell cultures and Northern and Western analysis
- sorts and processes tissue and blood samples
- tests and evaluates current procedures
- performs routine procedures on lab animals
- records, consolidates and assists with analysis of research results
- assists in evaluating validity of data obtained from experimental procedures
Other
- Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to work with junior research staff, and undergraduate and graduate students in research methods and equipment operation
- Ability to maintain accurate records of laboratory activities
- Must be able to pass a background check
- A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process
