The Ohio State University's Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a Research Senior Technician to support scientific investigation by conducting experiments, analyzing data, and assisting with research publications.
Requirements
- Ability to translate, adapt and apply academic or practical knowledge in the conduct of biological/health science research is required.
Responsibilities
- independently conducts assigned experiments
- performs a variety of molecular, cellular, and biological research techniques and procedures including PCR reactions, gel electrophoresis, assays, cell cultures and Northern and Western analysis
- sorts and processes tissue and blood samples
- tests and evaluates current procedures
- performs routine procedures on lab animals
- records, consolidates and assists with analysis of research results
- assists in evaluating validity of data obtained from experimental procedures
Other
- A Bachelors degree in a biological/health science or an equivalent combination of education is required.
