The Research Center for Humanities and Social Sciences is looking to advance its research, knowledge extraction, and data analysis capabilities by employing a Research Specialist who can conduct data mining, knowledge extraction, and data analysis, with a focus on online public opinion and the application of big data and AI in social sciences.
Requirements
- Technical experiences and skills in artificial intelligence methods, such as computer vision, natural language processing, and large multimodal models.
- Familiarity with data structures and database technologies.
- Experience in planning, executing, and managing projects or research teams, with the ability to take on management and leadership responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Conducting data mining, knowledge extraction, and data analysis to advance the Center’s research, knowledge extraction, and data analysis.
- Analyzing the content, dissemination, and evolution of online public opinion.
- Applying big data analytics and artificial intelligence methods in social science research.
- Developing computational systems to enhance the sharing of knowledge and its social impact.
- Act as project/team leader, responsible for progress planning, task assignment, and performance supervision.

- Applicants must meet the qualifications specified in Article 3 of the Employment Review Guidelines for Academia Sinica Research Specialists.
- Non-Taiwanese applicants with Chinese language proficiency are preferred.
- A master’s degree or above in a relevant field.
- Areas of expertise: Information Science, Data Science, Social Science, Statistics, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated insight and enthusiasm for academic research.
- Strong logical communication skills, creativity, and a willingness to embrace challenges.
