The Evidence Synthesis and Decision Modeling team is seeking a Research Statistician to evaluate new healthcare innovations by performing novel methods and interpreting evidence for pharma and biotech clients.
Requirements
- Proficiency in R for data analysis, modeling, and visualization
- Strong skills in preparing written documentation and presenting results using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Proficiency in R and Microsoft Office
- Experience in SAS, STATA, STAN, Matlab, R Shiny, Git/GitHub, WinBUGS/OpenBUGS/JAGS and other programs
- Experience conducting indirect treatment comparisons such as network meta-analysis, matching-adjusted indirect comparison, and simulated treatment comparison
- Experience with Bayesian statistics and advanced modeling techniques
- Experience in systematic literature reviews
Responsibilities
- Contribute to diverse projects including systematic literature reviews, (network) meta-analyses, indirect treatment comparisons, surrogacy analyses, utility mapping, and statistical analyses of clinical trial data
- Independently interpret clinical and real-world studies, identify considerations relevant to the synthesis of available evidence, and perform statistical analyses to help support regulatory or health technology assessment submissions
- Conduct survival analysis, (network) meta-analysis, population-adjusted indirect treatment comparisons, and/or advanced statistical analysis
- Evaluate studies to identify important between-study differences and work with team members to determine the most appropriate analysis method
- Analyze the data, interpret findings, and communicate results
- Contribute to the development of client-ready study deliverables in terms of statistical analysis plans, technical reports, peer-reviewed publications, and slides
- Demonstrate proficiency in statistical software such as R for data analysis, modeling, and visualization
Other
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience, ideally consulting experience serving biotech, pharmaceutical or healthcare clients, with a focus on HEOR
- Master’s degree in a subject related to statistics e.g., statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology, econometrics, operations research, or math
- Willingness and desire to learn and share knowledge
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills
