Requirements
- Proficient with R, Python, SQL, SAS, MATLAB, or related programming languages
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures as related to biological and environmental studies
- Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Responsibilities
- Assist with field evaluations and data collection efforts aimed at identifying the vegetation type, density, and vigor
- Design experiments, analyze complex data sets, and develop statistical models
- Employ statistical theory and software packages to analyze large, multivariate data sets
- Build predictive models and simulations using regression, machine learning, and Bayesian statistics approaches
- Provide interpretations of results and communicate statistical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
Other
- BS Degree and two to five (2-5+) years of experience in a related field or related area, or a combination of education and experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust (NAC) level clearance
- US Citizenship is a requirement for this location
