The Department of Radiation and Cellular Oncology at the University of Chicago is looking for a Research Technical Assistant to support their pioneering new clinical approaches, cutting-edge technologies, and impactful translational research in radiation oncology.
Requirements
- vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field
- knowledge and skills developed through < 2 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
- Experience working in a Wet Lab or Oncology lab.
Responsibilities
- Management and preparation for experiments.
- Cell line maintenance and archive.
- Cell culture and basic molecular biology techniques.
- Scheduled preparation of experimental tumor models in mice.
- Selection, monitoring and treatment of animals with radio/immunotherapy.
- Preparation of mice for experimental procedure.
- Administration and maintenance of anesthesia in mice during experimental procedures.
