Requirements
- Familiarity with basic molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, DNA/RNA extraction)
- Experience working in a greenhouse or laboratory setting
- High School diploma or GED
- No prior experience required; training will be provided
Responsibilities
- Cultivate and maintain tree specimens in a greenhouse setting
- Extract and manipulate DNA and RNA from plant and fungal samples
- Perform PCR and amplicon sequence analysis
- Assist in molecular biology experiments related to tree-pathogen interactions
- Support data analysis and contribute to monthly data reporting
- Maintain accurate lab records and follow safety protocols
