The Ohio State University is looking to solve the problem of supporting a research laboratory focused on plant–nematode interactions by hiring a Research Technician 4 to maintain live nematode cultures, assist with research experiments, and ensure efficient daily laboratory operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience required
- 1 year of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, OR 3 years with an Associate’s degree, OR 5 years with a High School diploma
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience (Preferred)
- Experience in plant pathology, nematology, or molecular biology techniques (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- maintain live nematode cultures (root-knot, soybean cyst, and beet cyst)
- assist with research experiments
- ensure efficient daily laboratory operations
- planting and inoculating host plants
- extracting and counting nematodes
- contributing to molecular and physiological studies
- oversee lab safety compliance
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience required
