The Cognition and Emotion Neuroscience Lab (CENSL) at the University of Chicago is seeking a Laboratory Coordinator to help identify and remedy neurocognitive alterations associated with psychiatric conditions and to support Dr. Keedy's collaborative neurocognitive expertise. The role involves overseeing and coordinating laboratory operations and personnel within a clinical research setting.
Requirements
- Database experience in Redcap preferred.
- Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research protocols: (test participants in experimental sessions, perform telephone and in-person screening interviews and eligibility determination, assist with database management, oversee staff on research progress, pacing).
- Perform administrative duties: (supply inventory, procurement, organization, biological sample storage, shipping, contracts, submission of expenses and post-award management, and webinars).
- Organize special projects management (assist with grant submissions, manuscripts, graphical output, mass mailings for retention in studies).
- Maintains technical, administrative, and regulatory support for a research project.
- Analyzes and maintains data and/or specimens.
- Conducts literature reviews. Assists with preparation of reports, manuscripts and other documents.
- Supports recruiting and scheduling research subjects; assists with developing or amending study protocols; assisting with developing data collection tools; assists with building and maintaining databases; and providing general administrative support.

- Strong research administrative, problem-solving, and organizational skills required.
- Ability to train and supervise others, and generally perform duties within a collaborative academic environment.
- Minimum requirements include vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field (not typically required to have a four-year degree).
- Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
