Public Storage is looking to improve the revenue generating effectiveness of its consumers by translating complex and massive data sets into actionable insights and recommendations for senior management.
Requirements
- Highly proficient in Excel and comfortable with using formulas, vlookups and pivot table and graph
- Ability to generate ad-hoc data extracts from various databases using Structured Query Language (SQL)
- Knowledge or experience with Tableau, Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Google BigQuery is preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain revenue forecasting models.
- Identifies revenue control risk, assists in developing and implementing revenue control plans, and monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of the revenue control plans.
- Analyze and monitor market conditions and competitor pricing to inform pricing strategies.
- Identify revenue leakage and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed reports and dashboards for senior management.
- Monitor and test market trends for potential improvement in sales and profitability.
- Conduct ad hoc quantitative analyses that will streamline department procedures or find new ways to optimize revenues
Other
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in financial analysis or revenue management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.
- Must be willing to travel to Los Angeles at least once a quarter
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, accurately meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor and work well independently is essential
