DARPA is seeking technical research and development support for programs targeting reverse engineering and vulnerability analysis of hardware and software systems.
Requirements
- Experience with Red Teaming, Vulnerability Research, or Reverse Engineering of software and/or hardware system components
- Strong familiarity with the state of the art in modern reverse engineering practices, to include tactics, techniques, procedures, and tooling
- Strong familiarity with C and Python
- Experience with COMSEC devices and key management, classified network accreditation, and/or DoD cyber security activities
- Education and/or experience using Formal Methods, such as using automated reasoning tools to verify software or generating trustworthy implementations automatically from specifications
Responsibilities
- Providing the Government with subject matter expertise on technical topics related to reverse engineering and vulnerability analysis on a wide variety of software and hardware platforms.
- Assessing performer technical progress, evaluating performer capabilities, projecting performer outcomes, and supporting DARPA-funded independent verification and validation (IV&V) testing with performers and partners.
- Providing technical research and development support onsite at DARPA in Arlington, VA as part of a team of technical experts supporting a portfolio of programs targeting reverse engineering and vulnerability analysis of hardware and software systems.
Other
- Ability to work with little oversight to take abstract problems, provide detailed analysis, and generate recommendations, both individually and as part of a team managing a DARPA research and development program
- Current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
- Ability to establish and maintain DoD SAP access
- Past experience working in DoD Special Access Programs
- Excellent technical writing skills, including the ability to proofread and perform quality control on technical documents and briefing slides
