Western Alliance Bank is looking to improve its data analysis capabilities within the Portfolio Credit Risk Management department. This role aims to solve the problem of efficiently accessing, transforming, and presenting critical data to support strategic decision-making and meet reporting needs across various business units.
Requirements
- Intermediate experience with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel).
- Understanding of SQL, SSIS and database concepts
- Aptitude for learning new technology.
Responsibilities
- Access Analytical Data Store or other data repositories to meet the reporting needs of various customers within the Bank.
- Proposes improvements to existing processes, obtains approval, completes documentation and implements upgrades.
- Completes assigned projects, which may be individual or team projects and include acquiring new data sources (due to new products, new business acquisitions, new system implementations, etc.), defining/documenting transformations required to load, writing load scripts and testing.
- Understand business unit reporting and analytical needs and translate business questions into analytical tasks that help drive strategic decisions.
- Manages a pipeline of data and process related projects, identifying and elevating road blocks and executing within designated time frames.
- Serves as the point of contact to internal customers for ad hoc extracts and support for assigned areas of responsibility.

- Intermediate experience presenting findings from large datasets in a clear, actionable way.
