To improve patient safety and quality of care by reducing hospital-acquired infections and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards at Adventist Health Twin Cities
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Infection Control Certification
- Knowledge of infection prevention and quality improvement principles and practices
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify infection trends and recommend prevention strategies
- Ability to collect, summarize, and share data to support decision-making and regulatory requirements
Responsibilities
- Monitors and investigates hospital-acquired infections by analyzing lab results, patient records, and diagnoses
- Supports quality improvement and patient safety activities by conducting chart audits, reviewing reported events, and participating in root cause analyses
- Ensures compliance with regulatory standards by monitoring hospital practices and preparing for inspections and accreditation surveys
- Provides education to staff on infection prevention and quality by developing and delivering training
- Analyzes and reports data to support decision-making and regulatory requirements
Other
- Bachelor's Degree: Required
- Master's Degree: Preferred
- Two years' relevant experience: Preferred
- Must receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
