Good Shepherd Hospice is seeking to ensure compliance and quality of care for patients in assigned locations
Requirements
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
- A minimum of two years experience in hospice, and previous clinical experience in home health, long-term care, oncology or geriatric nursing.
- Utilization review, compliance, QI experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Nursing theory and practice
- Knowledge of medications for the purpose of reading signs and symptoms of side effects.
- Knowledge of conducting investigations, quality reviews, writing plans of correction.
Responsibilities
- Assists the Compliance Officer in conducting monthly reviews at assigned locations to ensure compliance and assumes primary responsibility for formulation and execution of an action plan to correct findings.
- Works directly with clinical staff in assigned locations to ensure quality-nursing care according to the established plan of care in order to maximize the comfort as well as the health of the patient and their families through mentorship and education.
- Makes regular visits to facilities to assess customer service, provide education, resolve complaints, and evaluate service provision.
- Conducts investigations as directed by the Compliance Officer.
- Ensures timely follow up and resolution of complaints or concerns, as directed by supervisor.
- Provides ongoing monitoring of quality in assigned locations.
- Partners with clinical staff in assigned locations for review of documentation monitoring accuracy and completeness of clinical records.
