Exact Sciences is looking to change how the world prevents, detects, and guides treatment for cancer by providing patients and clinicians with clarity for confident decision-making. The Intern - RNA Research role will contribute to this mission by assisting in the development of nucleic acid detection methodologies, biomarker discovery and validation, and the evaluation of new technologies.
Requirements
- Basic computer skills to include Internet navigation, Email usage, and word processing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Excel macros and pivot tables and Word mail merge.
- Prior hands-on experience working with RNA in a research laboratory environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with basic laboratory experiments.
- Assist with general laboratory duties.
- Assist with RNA extraction methods.
- Assist with reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) methods).
- Assist with nucleic acid amplification methods.
- Assist with other support duties as assigned.
Other
- Enrollment towards Bachelor’s degree in field of Life Sciences
- Preference giving to candidates with a record of outstanding academic achievement
