Premier Automation is looking for a Robotic Field Service Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain robotic systems at customer sites, ensuring efficient and safe operation.
Requirements
- Familiarity with industrial robots and teach pendant programming
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics
- Understanding of robotic safety protocols (e.g., ANSI/RIA standards)
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate standard hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as multimeters
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Experience with PLCs and I/O systems
Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults on robotic arms (e.g., FANUC, ABB, KUKA)
- Perform preventive maintenance and system calibration
- Execute software updates and maintain system backups
- Replace worn or damaged components, including motors, encoders, and controllers
- Interface with automation and drive systems to support overall functionality
- Provide detailed service documentation and clear customer-facing reports
- Train operators on basic maintenance tasks and safety protocols
Other
- Travel to customer sites
- Support safe, efficient system operation through clear documentation and basic operator training
- Serve as a key point of contact for customers during service calls, maintaining professionalism and clear communication throughout each visit
