Medtronic is entering the market of Robotic Assisted Surgery (RAS) and needs to quickly deploy its ground-breaking robotic assisted surgical therapies to patients, surgeons, and hospitals in EMEA. The Surgical Robotics Utilization Team needs a Start-up Specialist to ensure the successful integration of the HUGO™ RAS-system into hospitals, which involves managing installation, start-up, customer training, and optimizing the robotic program.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience within a clinical environment or working with Medtronic Robotic products / procedures
- 12-18 months clinical selling experience in an operating room environment
- Knowledge and experience of operating rooms and surgery procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to operate from idea generation and strategy development through detailed implementation and results in delivery.
- Understanding the impact of quality and regulatory requirements.
- Strong and demonstrable project management skills.
- Ability to integrate a customer team and coach it to continuously improve its performance.
Responsibilities
- Meet with the robotic program stakeholders and develop program goals and metrics for HUGO™ RAS-system.
- Develop a surgeon training plan, coordinate attendance at Medtronic’s off-site training and arrange for proctored cases post-training as needed
- Develop a training plan to support staff to include attendance at a Medtronic off-site training class and support staff through their learning curve
- Support the technology adoption by attending to cases during a surgeon and staff member’s learning sessions
- Utilize change management techniques to engage clinical stakeholders and attain buy-in
- Coach hospitals’ staff to promote skill transfer and achieve self-sufficiency in operational excellence
- Cooperate with Medtronic field service engineer (FSE) and the hospital staff to prepare the operating room to host the HUGO™ RAS-system.
Other
- While this is a remote position not located at a physical Medtronic site, the candidate hired will be required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region.
- A valid driver's license is essential for this role.
- Ability to relocate to a major implementation site is required
- Willingness to travel throughout your country (>75%).
- Experience in change management with the ability to standardize process optimization and change management activities into a reproducible package that could be deployed in different places by different people.
