Ideal Tridon is seeking a Robotic Welding Technician and Operator to set-up, maintain, and operate robotic welding equipment for the fabrication of metallic parts or assemblies through welding by the means of a robotic machine.
Requirements
- Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, and computer skills.
- Knowledgeable of automation equipment, processes, and systems
- Interpret blueprints and drawings.
- Adapt to technology changes quickly and seamlessly.
- Basic computer skills, e-mail, excel and time keeping systems.
- Certificate in Welding, Metals Fabrication or Machining and/or an associate’s degree in Welding or Robotics.
- Hi-Lo Certification
Responsibilities
- Primary responsibilities would include, but are not limited to the set-up, maintenance, and operation of robotic welding equipment.
- Ability to select and change tools per SOP.
- Apply principles of basic welding fundamentals, understand AWS symbols and blueprints.
- Visual inspection of parts to confirm correct weld path
- Identify and select correct robotic welding parameters, welding procedures, operations, and programs.
- Create robotic welding programs, modify existing welding programs, and conduct welding cell cycle time calculations.
- Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance of robotic equipment and welding equipment.

- Must be able to clear drug screen and background check.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (Required)
- High school or equivalent (Required) with classes in Robotics and/or Welding at the Junior College level.
- Able to work in a loud, noisy, and congested environment.
