Eurofins Scientific is seeking an associate scientist to join the Smart Lab within Drug Product Development to develop and deploy automation and technology processes for pharmaceutical drug candidates in a laboratory setting.
Requirements
- Strong coding with C/C++ or Python
- Experience with laboratory robotics and automation
- Experience in pharmaceutical research and development
Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will help design, prototype and develop laboratory automation solutions for formulation development applications as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Assist with design and testing of modular hardware to facilitate data-rich experimentation.
- Enable use of digital tools for machine learning and self-optimization to enhance automation goals.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement automated equipment and develop novel solutions for execution of laboratory experimentation.
- Innovate with academic and industrial collaborators to identify unmet needs and develop novel solutions.
- Partner with formulation scientists, material scientists and engineers on suitable experimentation to deliver DPD workflows for solid dosage form development.
- Implement a robotic control system for orchestration of multiple workstreams using modular laboratory equipment.
Other
- Master’s of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or Engineering, or Chemistry or closely-related discipline; OR a Bachelor’s degree in these disciplines with 2-4 years of relevant experience in a laboratory setting.
- Position is Monday- Friday 8:00 AM- 5:00PM. Overtime as needed.
