GlobalFoundries is seeking to support factory daily operations and improve automation equipment and mobile robotics platforms in the factory through the Manufacturing Automation Organization at the Fab 9 Burlington Vermont site.
Requirements
- Majoring in Engineering or Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related field
- Previous experience with robotics and automation
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Project management skills
- Ability to innovate and execute on solutions
- Ability to navigate ambiguity
Responsibilities
- Support design, assembly and integration of automated/robotic manufacturing cells
- Support enabling manufacturing cell readiness for future automation
- Support evaluation and improvement of existing or future automated equipment
Other
- Education – A sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor's
- Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing
- Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship
- Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
